Civilizations, Human Endeavors and Global Warming Issues

The atmosphere heats up, weather extremes are witnessed and Global Warming is said to be occurring. What can or should we do about this? Can we modify our use of energy, fuel and our daily endeavors while controlling our pollution and industrial waste outputs? Recently this subject came up in an online think tank when one member stated;

“Humans need to be more responsible with some of their activities, and there will be some things about life that will have to be altered if not for the sake of conserving and using resources more efficiently.”

All monies, initiatives and research spent for such alternative energies are monies well spent; whether it is private enterprise, ARCO SOLAR, BP Alternative Energies, Chevron BioFuels or even DOE or government sponsored monies. Solar, Wind, Nuclear, Clean Coal, BioFuels, sure let’s do all that and more, why not? We only stand to gain. Our nation should be over producing and exporting energy and when we cannot we need to allow those money flows going out to come back in purchases of consumables, products and or services to round out trade balances.

I am quite confident we as a nation and the human race as a whole can rise to any occasion that presents itself with the right leadership, but I also know that government should be a facilitator and remain in that role and leave the problem solving to free market entrepreneurs and capitalists, because they can do anything. I know because I am an entrepreneur and never met a challenge I could not lick, except government bureaucracy, over regulation and over lawyering; that my friend is minutia and I would like to turn that BioMass into BioFuel and put Congress on a permanent vacation where they can take all the prescription medicines they want to. Consider this in 2006.
